Luisa Ríos-Owens, President
Luisa is a native of Iquitos, Peru. Since 1973 she resides in Rochester NY. She has been educator and is passionate about education at all levels. Peruvian Project is one of the causes that she supports as it focuses on providing education for impoverished children of her family’s hometown. She also supports other educational initiatives in the Rochester area.

Robert C. Owens, Treasurer
Robert is a native of Rochester, NY and  is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) who served in Peru (1970-73) He is a retired science educator and coach. In his retirement he has been dedicated to the Peruvian Project, Inc. and Rush-Henrietta Rotary.

Kristina J. Owens
Kristina is a native of Rochester, NY and is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer in Bolivia (2000-2002). In Bolivia, she was an educator at the local schools teaching environmental science. She worked as a Plant Biologist for the USDA and currently works at Rochester Institute of Technology as the Associate VP of Government and Community Relations. Wendy is a native of Rochester, NY and is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay(2000-2002). After serving the Peace Corps, Wendy was an Adjunct Professor/Instructor at various community colleges in Maryland. Katherine M Duffy

Katherine is originally from Readington, NJ. She moved to Rochester in 2017 to work for the Rochester City Ballet and to study at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Katherine is working on an undergraduate degree through the School of Individualized Study with focuses in Sociology and International Relations. She continues to work with Partners in Health visiting their children’s home in Croix-de-Bouquets, Haiti called Zanmi Beni. There she takes groups of artists to visit with the kids and share in enriching experiences. Katherine is excited to use her passion for nonprofit work and empowering children while working with the Peruvian Project. She will be expanding our social media presence and helping to organize events that raise funds for our children’s programs in Peru.
